We are excited to announce the addition of three new members to the WBON Board of Directors.

 

Shannon Mitchell – Recognized by Bustle as a “Woman Redefining What It Means To Work In STEM”, Shannon is co-owner of GameTheory, a Vermont-based studio that applies the power of games, technology, & design to create social change. Through her work, she has designed dozens of successful social projects in areas like civic engagement, social work, mental health, art, medicine, and more. In addition, Shannon serves as an Adjunct Professor at Champlain College, event organizer, IGDA mentor, and industry coach to foster intersectional diversity within games, entrepreneurship, and tech. Shannon sees her work as a step toward a future where design thinking is applied to solve today’s problems in an accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable way.

Beth Peters, Human Resources Consultant, brings extensive HR and leadership experience, including roles at SunCommon Solar, Green Mountain Power and Vermont Teddy Bear Company. Through her firm VIVID Workplace, she partners with organizations strategically, fostering healthy workplace cultures and professional growth. A recent graduate of UVM’s End-of-Life Doula program, Beth now also helps individuals plan for a peaceful end of life with compassion and dignity.

Tricia Senzel, CPA – As a leadership and human potential coach and consultant, Tricia brings a unique blend of financial acumen and transformational leadership expertise to our organization.

Tricia specializes in helping businesses and leaders unlock their full potential through her comprehensive coaching programs. As a certified Kolbe Consultant, she utilizes the Kolbe complete system alongside the Positive Intelligence framework to help clients understand their natural strengths and overcome mental barriers to success. Her signature Conscious Leadership Amplifier program empowers leaders to create more authentic, effective, and sustainable approaches to leadership.

In addition to her coaching practice, Tricia serves as a talent search agent, helping companies identify and attract aligned talent. Her deep understanding of both the technical requirements and cultural fit needed for successful placements makes her an invaluable partner to growing organizations.

When she’s not transforming businesses and developing leaders, you’ll find Tricia sailing the waters of Lake Champlain as a captain on board the Friend Ship Sloops of Whistling Man Schooner Company. Her USCG-issued 50 Ton Master’s license reflects the same commitment to excellence and safety that she brings to all her professional endeavors.

Tricia’s passion for empowering others, combined with her diverse business experience and commitment to women’s economic empowerment, makes her a perfect addition to WBON’s mission of supporting women business owners throughout Vermont.
