NOTE: Expanded eligibility now makes many self-employed business owners eligible for Vermont Emergency Economic Recovery Grants. The Governor explained details at his press conference on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020. Under the original eligibility criteria, a business was required to have at least one W-2 employee who was not an owner of that business. Starting August 3rd, businesses with at least one W-2 employee – now including those who are an owner – are also eligible and encouraged to apply. This change refers to S corps, C corps, and LLCs.

The federal government authorized new legislation to provide additional funding for the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Emergency Impact Disaster Loans (EIDL). If you qualify and believe you might benefit from the PPP or EIDL programs, there is still money available and we encourage you to consider applying as soon as possible. Note the deadline for applying for the PPP is Aug. 8, while EIDL ends in December. See resources and links below.
