STATEWIDE AND LOCAL MEMBERSHIP
MONTHLY LOCAL CHAPTER MEETINGS
WBON has monthly chapter meetings in South Burlington, Williston, and Rutland. Members serve as Chapter Coordinators and plan the speakers and topics for the month based on member suggestions. Members can attend chapter meetings free of charge and guests may attend up to 2 meetings at no charge. Meeting dates and topics are announced in the monthly e-Newsletter and posted on this website.
SPRING CONFERENCE
Our spring conference is a statewide day-long professional development event that focuses on a topic of interest to women business owners. The event typically includes a member expo and is held during the month of May.
FALL CONFERENCE
The fall conference is a headline statewide event each year. It features well-known keynote speakers as well as working sessions and time for networking. The event may or may not include a member expo, based on the location.
SOCIAL EVENTS
WBON hosts or co-hosts events throughout the year to provide additional opportunities for fun networking
FORUMS or WEBINARS
WBON and its members present various topical workshops or forums throughout the year. Members can take advantage of free or member-only rates.
MEMBERS-ONLY FACEBOOK GROUP
Our members now have the added benefit of having access to our private WBON Facebook group. This group is a hub for connecting with other members and learning about exciting offerings from WBON. It is maintained by our Board so spend some time there and you’ll get to know the people who make WBON so great! Are you a member and want to join the fun? Marketing Opportunities
ONLINE MEMBER DIRECTORY
The online member directory enables members to update and manage their own profile and connects the entire membership base for business development and networking opportunities. All members have their name and website address published on the WBON web site in our searchable online directory. Members are provided a user name and password to update their profile anytime and have the ability to upload a photo or logo, or only show select contact information.
APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS & COMMISSIONS
WBON is contacted regularly to submit the names of business owners interested in serving on public boards and commissions. Please contact either of the co-chairs of the WBON Public Policy Committee if you are willing to serve.
MEMBER EXPO AT CONFERENCES
At the spring and fall conferences, there is an opportunity to display your business materials as part of the member expo (venue and space permitting).
SPREAD THE WORD TO OUR MEMBERSHIP
Send notices about events or offers of interest to business owners for potential inclusion under “Member News” in our newsletter and website. Space is limited and is available for free on a first come, first serve basis for free events. Submit your press releases and news to: director@wbon.org
