Hattie White is a Vermont Certified Horticulturist and owner of Apis Garden Coaching LLC. She works with her clients, and the public, to promote the use of resilient landscape design that will withstand the uncertain seasonal weather conditions that have resulted from climate change.
Rainwater management, drought stress, native plants and pollinator habitat are all part of the solution to an aesthetically impactful landscape that will enhance the natural ecosystem while creating a sustainable landscape paradigm.
In this presentation, Hattie will be discussing the challenges of shifting away from the sterile industrial landscapes that have been prevalent and promoting resilient landscapes for a changing climate. She will also be sharing with us how her landscaping business her changed and flourished over the years.

Hattie White is a Vermont Certified Horticulturist and owner of Apis Garden Coaching LLC. She has over a decade of experience in the Vermont landscape and plant nursery industry, specializing in native plants and pollinator habitat. A passionate educator, she began her business offering workshops, consultations, and small-scale ecological landscape design gardeners of all levels. As the demand for high quality and knowledgeable landscaping work grew, she added several employees this year to provide skilled landscaping labor and education to commercial and residential clients. Hattie resides in Underhill, VT with her partner and son.
