Due to concerns around the spread of the coronavirus all WBON chapter meetings for April will be held virtually through Zoom. An email containing the link will be sent prior to the event date.
This presentation will talk about the 9 questions you need to know to advance your personal fitness, and how to realistically to meet those strategic needs from your own home while we “flatten the curve.” The benefits of fitness are many, and will boost self-esteem and confidence for the self-employed woman to continue sending her business to the forefront. We’ll talk about motivation, injury management, good pain versus bad pain, etc etc and answer your questions. The tone of the workshop will be supportive and empathetic with a healthy dose of encouragement to find your discipline and get going doing the things you know you should be doing.
Heather Hewitt Main has been teaching fitness and health education for 31 years. She has a Masters in Health Education, a Bachelors in Psychology and is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer. Heather teaches Yoga with training from the American Council on Exercise and Kripalu, and focuses her Yoga practice on Yoga for Mental Health. She has a private fitness and yoga studio in South Burlington at her home and has an office “assistant” named Charlotte who’s a Vermont Therapy Dog. Personally, Heather grew up food-focused and exercise-phobic, but turned to fitness right after college because she got sick of looking at the world through the lens of the chubby kid. To this day she doesn’t love exercise, but she loves the benefits of exercise.
