There is a vacuum in the public policy conversation in Vermont that omits the voice of women business owners. To address this need, WBON Public Policy committee members meet monthly to identify and develop policy positions and coalition/collaboration participation, either proactively or in response to emerging issues. In addition to the monthly Public Policy committee meetings, the committee welcomes feedback from the larger membership via member surveys, online submissions, and other WBON events.

How to Participate

Most WBON Public Policy committee meetings are open to anyone interested in the intersection of public policy and women-owned business in Vermont. (Based on the agenda, meetings may occasionally be restricted to WBON members and invited guests.) Please contact Public Policy Committee Co-Chairs Mary Claire Carroll or Pat Heffernan if you are interested in joining the committee for a specific meeting or as a voting member. All current members of WBON are eligible to be a voting member of the Public Policy Committee.

Monthly Meetings

The WBON Public Policy Committee meets the third Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at Marketing Partners in Burlington, or via video or phone.
