Develop your content plan by looking at everyday topics in new and unusual ways

How do you stay visible in our busy, noisy world? And is there anything new to write about under the sun?

While finding truly brand new-to-the-universe topics is out of reach for most people who aren’t actively conducting novel and unique scientific experiments, for every day entrepreneurs, there are ways to take what’s already known and make it fresh and new again.

In this session, Paula Diaco will share a variety of methods for finding topics that sustain your writing energy. Or even help you develop a writing practice so that you’re producing content on a regular basis, and in doing so, increasing the love you receive from your ideal clients, and encouraging existing clients to hire you again and again.

You may even leave the meeting with topics you can write about that day. Now, who wants to write?

Paula Diaco of Write Stories Now helps creative entrepreneurs play with words and language so they can bring their stories to life. Entrepreneurs who see the value of writing a book, or even individuals who have a novel tapping them on the shoulder, come to her for the storytelling tools she offers—they use the tools to produce content that builds their platform of informed thought and ideas as well as the larger book projects they want to do. She also helps hesitant, but otherwise creative entrepreneurs, learn how to enjoy the writing process so the challenge of writing doesn’t keep smacking them in the face, but presents itself as a means to increasing their visibility and marketing reach. Or, simply help them get their beautiful novel written.

What to Say When You Don't Agree

Conflicts abound these days. Respectful communication when you don't agree can be tricky. It is too easy to "get it wrong" and maybe damage an important relationship. Let's do this instead: learn strategies for getting through difficult conversations; figure out what conflict is about; learn what to do and more importantly, what to say. Experience the magic of one little that word that can change your conflict, and your life. Intrigued? Join us.

Denyse Perry is a conflict resolution coach. She cares a lot about how people engage in conflict.  Denyse says "It’s taken me many years of trying different things, lots of education (MS, MBA), and a good number of mistakes to finally find some practical tools that really work."  So now she teaches others.  Denyse coaches individuals, couples and teams how to manage conflict in a way that works for everyone. She also teaches conflict management at Champlain College and does related conflict projects for the State, other organizations (like Ben & Jerry's), families and for regular people like you and me. Pricing for Your Market, Honoring Your Value

Pricing is the age-old business dilemma. You’re concerned if you charge too much your customers can’t afford you and you’ll miss out on business. On the other hand, you’re resentful every time you deal with a high-maintenance client (and most of them feel that way lately), you’re not attracting the work you really want to be doing, and you’re finding yourself saying “I’m not getting paid enough for this” or worse, “I don’t think I can pay my bills.”

Your pricing structure may be the root of your agita. In this session, we’ll look at how to price for your market while keeping the integrity of your value intact. Together, we’ll begin to combine the art and science of pricing.

The session will include a facilitated activity and you’ll have some homework and resources to take home. Note: this is just the beginning of the conversation. You won’t leave with hard answers, but you’ll leave knowing where to start taking back your value.

I can see clearly now….creating your vision for 2018

Building upon our September topic of marketing and knowing your clients, we are going to start planning for what you want 2018 to look like.

We will provide great thinking questions to get you started identifying goals and how to achieve them in the coming year. We will then have some vision board materials available so that you can start creating a visual representation of what you want the year to be.

The time for this program has been extended to allow more space for creativity and exploration. Please feel free to bring additional creative materials such as magazines, inspirational sayings or powerful pictures that you would like to use. We will provide poster board, glue sticks, scissors, a handful of magazines and thought provoking questions.
