Happy new year to you! We hope you enjoyed the festivities of the holiday season and are able to start 2017 with joy and purpose. It was great to see so many of you at our holiday social last month—members and guests enjoyed mingling with old friends, meeting interesting new business women, and sampling food and drink from member-businesses Groennfell Meadery, Quayl’s Chocolates, and Sumptuous Syrups of Vermont. It is always fun to see the diverse group of women who come out for WBON events!
WELCOME TO YOUR NEW WBON PRESIDENT JILL DAVIES: This month marks the start of Jill Davies’ term as your WBON president. Jill is looking forward to getting to know all of you better and working with you to make WBON the best reflection of our members’ needs. Jill is a licensed Avatar ® master whose business teaches the Avatar course to people wishing to survive and flourish in a changing environment. She resides in Woodstock, Vermont and has over 20 years’ experience as a business consultant. She has been involved with WBON for several years and part of the board since 2015. Welcome, Jill!
Jill and the rest of your board are busy planning our upcoming spring conference (check your email for news of the date and place!) and setting some goals to improve and strengthen our organization. What do you want your WBON experience to be in 2017? Let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org!
A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES: BOARD COMMITTEES! As you know, your board of directors is made up of members you have elected to lead the organization. As a volunteer-run organization, our board members balance their leadership roles in their businesses with helping WBON run smoothly behind the scenes. Let us know if you would like to help out or have any ideas!
