Rutland Chapter Meeting

Topic:Equine Assisted Personal Empowerment, presented by Georgie Stapleton

Georgie will explain how horses, as social creatures, respond easily to the challenges in forming and sustaining relationships. They are ultra sensitive, mindful and able to detect the slightest change in emotional responses. Using these two natural responses they act as mirrors to us. This information is used for transforming ourselves and helping us to move towards personal growth. Horses offer patient, non-judgmental atmosphere to try new interactions, let go of old ones and get in touch with our "bliss". Horses live in the moment, use their "bodies" as sensing devices and can patiently teach us to do the same.

Georgie worked with adolescents and their families in many capacities for close to fifteen years. She worked for three years at the local Community Mental Health Center. Georgie has her Masters in Counseling Psychology; and is an approved Epona Instructor. She has had horses all her life, taken many clinics, workshops and lessons to learn all she could about horses. Her work is based on a combination of all her life long training. Visit www.midnightmountain.com
